I don't really like to shop at Hot Topic, like...at all...and my mom knows it, but the other day she found Sally Rag Doll perfume and Jack Bone Daddy cologne. And guess what Erik and I are getting for Halloween?! They're 20 or 21 bucks each, judging from what Mom said. And she said they have a lot of cute stuff from TNBC. If I were you guys, I'd be very naughty and SPLURGE. Even if it IS Hot Topic and the quality is very questionable. But we're all TNBC fans, right? ;D

As I said, if I can help it, I will not go anywhere near Hot Topic (I think it's A) selling a lifestyle and B) poseurific, but whatever; I only go when I have no other choice...and that's only happened twice; but if I were in the states I'd make an exception just this once...they even have the Ultimate Edition of TNBC for $150; I'll probably go to the states soon and buy it. I've got the money), but I don't think you could actually find those anywhere else. So my mom ordered them for us.

My mom's part of the Disney Movie Club or something and she's got this Disney Vacation Club type thing; it's a gay timeshare thing. I hate it; I don't get why she did it. -_-; I'm always like, "WTH? Why did you join this?!" We've been going to Disney since...well, I was like, what...a newborn pretty much? Mickey owes me a freakin' room in the Haunted Mansion. But that's beside the point.
But hey, if I've got the money for something, I'm going to buy it. I've already got the two disc edition. But I want the ULTIMATE edition, with the special Jack figure with the two discs, the poem (even though I already know it by heart...but whatever), the letter of authenticity, and so much other crap. I haven't been this psyched since I got the ultimate collector's edition of FFVII AC.

:sniffle: I want the Ultimate Edition, but even though now I've actually got a job((it's not anything big, just twenty bucks a week or so)) every dime of that's going towards my PSP-And-Crisis-Core funds. You guys'll have to tell me how it is and if it's really worth $150. ((Even though I know it so is.)) I've known about the perfume for about a year now; Hot Topic had them last year. Hot Topic has a lot of good TNBC stuff, I keep tellin' you that, Geth. They had the cutest Jack and Sally messenger bag! And a really cool Jack locket/pendant. Not to mention the car stuff. Last year my mom ALMOST bought the car stuff because it was red and black, and thus matched her car. ((But this year the big color combo is purple and black.)) Last year she almost got me the TNBC comforter for Christmas, but by the time we got there they had JUST sold the last one. Damn it.

I hate Hot Topic, man. I get my stuff from boutiques and vintage stores here in Paris and wherever I happen to be; I even go to stores like Ross and stuff like that. You can find stuff at fairly good prices that can be spiffed up with a little creativity and a sewing machine (I only hand-stitch stuff when I've got either a small tear or a little hemming job; for everything else, since I'm lazy, I use my faithful sewing machine).
I don't really want the Jack pendant. I've got one already that Erik bought me about two years ago that's silver in the shape of Jack's head and his is face engraved in it. It's got Erik's and my initials engraved together on the back of the locket, and when you open it up on one side it has "Meant to be" (en francais) and on the other it has a small version of our wedding portrait. So I don't really need the one from Hot Topic. I saw a picture of it; it doesn't look like it's worth the 13 bucks, IMO.
I've got several Jack and Sally purses and bags (I have the most ADORABLE casket one I made that's covered in black leather with their outlines in white embroidered on the front...and that embroidery was a pain to do), I have a few Jack blankets (for some reason, Gabriel is REALLY attatched to a big black one of him that says Bone Daddy on it). And I've got several figures, dolls, and plushies, and Nathalie has a rag doll of Sally that she likes to sleep with.
And you should see the little onesies my mother-in-law got the twins last Christmas! They're so cute! They both have Jack on them (Nathalie's has Jack and Sally in a hug), black, and decorated with tiny skulls and jack-o-lanterns, and Gabriel's has some scary teddies on his! They are ABSOLUTELY adorable! And the kids love them!

They have Trick on them?! ((Have you ever played Oogie's Revenge? If not, Trick's the vampire teddy bear.)) How cute! I want the Jack pendant because, while I do have a whole lot of little TNBC stuff to stick on my clothes and such((my friend actually gave me a little TNBC charm with the Valentine candy she gave me last year; she knows how much I love it)) I don't really have any TNBC jewelry. I've seen some really cute stuff though at FYE and Spencers. ((It's hard to get Usagi to go into Spencers because of the Living Dead Dolls; she has a fear of dolls.))
I fell in love all over again when I walked into Hot Topic on September 30th and, not only did they have the first of their TNBC stuff up on the usual wall, but they had Nightmare Revisited HALF OFF! On the day it came out! It was cheaper than buying it on Amazon!

Meh. I've got a shitload of TNBC stuff, most of which I just recently found in an armoire in one of the guest rooms. And you know that evil ducky with the bullet holes in it? I found the toy of it. Gabriel hasn't let go of it since I gave it to him last night to play with. I hardly EVER went in FYE or Spencer's when I was in the States; they had stuff that I either A) already had or B) had no desire to get. Besides, most of the music I like you can't find in regular stores or mainstream stores like FYE. And Spencer's...well, I just don't like it. Dunno why, but I'd always walk right past it and head to the book store.

I think Spencer's is kinda lame, actually. The M-rated stuff is SO cheap and cheesy, and the dolls are...well...not something I'd buy (I wouldn't even buy Living Dead Dolls from there...and I absolutely ADORE those).

Haha, I go to hottopic all the time for TNBC stuff and Zimmy stuff. I even got pants there, once, for my birthday. I don't normally get out much (my mom hates shopping, but my stepdad loves it), so I don't have much of a chance to get stuff I like anywhere else. :<

That's why I shop online a lot. Most of the stores I shop at online are little boutiques and stuff; I don't shop at a lot of franchise stores or chain stores. Yeah, the stuff is more expensive, but it tends to be of better quality, and the boutiques I shop at tend to have stuff that's more my style than other stores.
