A few of you may know me; I know Sailor Twilight and Shocks do.
For those of you who don't, my name is Gethsemane (call me Geth). I like to read - major bookworm - and write, mainly fanfic of all things, and I live in Paris with my husband and twins.

Hello Geth, and welcome to the Treehouse. (: I'm pretty sure I speak for everyone when I say we hope you enjoy it here. I'll have to check out some of your fanfiction sometime. And Paris-- fun!

Hey Geth! ^-^ Hope you enjoy yourself here! ((If you need a roleplay character, you can have Jack. I just took him because his RPer disappeared.))

YO!!! Welcome!! What up! It's me Usagi!! Welcome, I have been dying for you to join here!! You can also be your character Mai if you please, but it is up to Night-Night, who plays Sephiroth, if they are to be a couple. I'm still trying to finish Sins of The Father, but it got boring so I might just start reading Door To Darkness. Yeah, the plot was going kind of slow for me I'll have to finish it later. Welcome again!! And thank you ever so much for posting here...Town Hall hasn't been full for a while. Hopefully it will be in the summer so I can make my Welcoming Committie I have been dreaming to make. And abuse my mod powers for discipline reasons. (J.K FA!)

Oh, so SotF is boring now? Nah, it's okay. I never write anything exciting anyway.

No, I just think Salvation was the best, and some sequels are actually good. When it gets to the thrid of something, it ruins the original. Not in some cases but in yours it is. Sorry..But Sins of the Father kind of ruined the image and the simpleness of Sweeney Todd. I guess I'll have to finish it to make more of a judgement on it. I'm sorry. That's just how I feel, but for others it might not be the case.
Wow..How did this turn into a review?

Have no freakin' clue.
But you DO realize it's not even finished yet, don't you? But if people find it boring, why the hell should I bother to even continue writing it?

Awe, finish it off anyways. Which is exactly what Usagi's been telling me to do with Sweet Sacrifice, but it's like someone built a brick wall in my stream of consciousness though. ((And yes Usagi, it seems to be affecting my writing abilities, along with the millions of other plot bunnies that are begging to be written and I haven't had time or brainwaves enough to write.))

And I repeat my question: What's the use of finishing it if it's boring? It MUST be bad if Usagi is saying it's boring.
So, I don't think there's any point in finishing it. Kind of ridiculous, don't you think? I've already written two stories, and apparently it's ruined the "simpleness" of Sweeney Todd. So by the third story everyone's pretty much sick of hearing about those two.

Naw, Usagi's been working on giving real criticism. I think she overdid it. ((Last I checked in on it-I haven't been to FF.net in a while at all-it was getting interesting, I just forgot to check back.)) She's convinced in my Chapter 1 for that FFVII fic I'm writing that Zack is out of character. :rolls eyes:

Real criticism? :scoffs: Real criticism offers suggestions. Which she did not do.
How many times am I going to get flamed? First there was the situation with FFN, then dA, and now USAGI, who is actually one of my friends online.
WTH? Did I miss something?

She didn't mean it. She's trying, at least. ((To self: And Usagi called ME blunt...)) I told her how telling us our stuff is perfect don't change a thing doesn't help, and I think she went the other extreme instead. She means well, I promise.

Whatever.
You need to teach her the difference between a flame and constructive criticism. Flames tend to sting. Take it from someone who's been there.

Dude, I've spent a good part of a week teaching her about the Fourth Wall and Mary Sues before. ((That's a good part of a week each.)) Remember, she's alot newer to Fanfiction than we are, she's bound to screw up a bit. And she tends to say things she doesn't really mean to sound that way. Even in real life. Good thing I'm good at speaking Usagi-ish.
I'll give her this, a couple of the more recent chapters did feel a bit filler-ish. I think what she was trying to say, and I'm sure she'll call me and yell at me if I interpret wrong, but I think she meant she wanted a little more action in there. You know, climactic scenes. ((If she's anything like me, I know that's what she reads books for. And trust me, she's A LOT like me. With a few key differences. We generally think the same though.)) ((More than that, she hates waiting for people to update stuff. I get chewed out over the phone or in real life DAILY for not updating my fanfics or replying to the roleplay.))

Should I educate her on fanfic then? -_-; I don't speak Usagi. I only speak four languages: Sarcastic, English, French, and Fangirl.
The thing about how I write is that I want to build UP to a climatic scene; you don't want it to happen too soon, or else the story will feel rushed and the falling action won't tie up as many loose ends as it's supposed to. You want to build up the tension as long as possible without drawing it out too much; it only feels like I've drawn out SotF because I haven't updated in a while. And I do have a lot planned for SotF, sort of like I do with TDTD, but SotF isn't going to be as long as TDTD, because TDTD is a bit more complicated in terms of plot and character relationships. With SotF, I already have a majority of the character relationships built already, or at least the most important ones.
