Hey, has anyone here seen the video called "Charlie the Unicorn"? It's hilarious, and this fic is based off of it because LS&B seemed like the unicorns in the movie.
Lock=Pink Unicorn
Shock=Charlie
Barrel=Blue Unicorn
Obviously, the places and other stuff has changed, but it is still similar to the original movie. Candy Mountain, Charlie!
---------------
It was a semi-peaceful night in the treehouse. Shock was sleeping with one hand on a rusty axe, in case her male cohorts decided to show up. There was a whisper. "Hey!" The witch twitched, but ignored whoever called her name. "Shock! Hey Shock, wake up!" Shock groaned. She recognized that voice... it was Barrel.
A second, more devilish voice added, "Yeah, Shock, you stupid sleepy-witch! Wake up!"
Shock opened her eyes, annoyed. "Jeez you two... this had better be really important... Is there a time bomb in the treehouse?"
Barrel laughed. "No, Shock, we found a map to Independence Day Town!" He grinned. "Independence Day Town, Shock!"
Shock sat up. Independence Day Town? It was too weird to be true... She eyed the boys suspiciously.
"Yeah, Shock, we're goin' to Independence Day Town!" Lock agreed. "Come with us, Shock!"
"Yeah Shock! We'll be breakin' rules!" Barrel said, nodding his head. "We'll be breakin' rules, Shock!"
Shock determined that the boys were trying to prank her. She blinked. "Yeah... Independence Day Town... right... Ya know, I'm just gonna go back to sleep." She lay back down, closing her eyes.
"NOOOO!" Barrel screeched, tackling Shock. "Shock! You hafta come with us to Independence Day Town!" With each word, he poked Shock's arm.
"Yeah Shock, Independence Day Town!" Lock added, grinning as he watched Barrel poke Shock. "It's a land of explosions... and joy... and joyness..."
"Stop poking me!" Shock growled, pushing Barrel off of her.
"Independence Day Town, Shock!" Barrel said yet again.
"Yeah! Independence Day Town!" Lock agreed.
Shock sighed. Her cohorts obviously weren't going to let her sleep. "Alright, fine! I'll go with you to Independence Day Town!" She got out of her bed and pulled her boots and witch hat on, then followed the boys out of the treehouse.
"La la la la la la!" Lock and Barrel sang happily, tunelessly... and off-key. They were doing a great job of getting on Shock's nerves. "La la la la la la la la la!"
"GAHH! Enough with the singing already!" the witch finally snarled.
"Our first stop is over there, Shock!" Barrel announced, pointing to the graveyard.
Shock stared at the huge Troll Skeleton swinging its club. "Uh.. guys... what is that?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.
"It's a Troll Skeleton, Shock!" Barrel said happily.
"A MAGICAL Troll Skeleton!" Lock corrected Barrel, smacking the younger boy with his plunger.
Barrel rubbed his head, but told Shock, "It's gonna guide our way to Independence Day Town!"
Shock growled in annoyance. "Uh... you two DO realize that there's no actual Independence Day Town, right?" she asked. She hated when the boys went to all this trouble to pull a prank on her when she could sniff mischief a mile away.
Barrel gasped. "Shun the non-believer!" he announced, mouth hanging open in surprise.
"Shuuuuuuuunn!" Lock agreed with a nod, eyes widening as he stared at Shock.
"Sssssssshuuuuuunn-uhhh!" Barrel finished, looking as serious as he could.
Shock blinked. "Um... yeah." She turned her attention to the Troll Skeleton, which roared.
Barrel giggled. "It has spoken!" he grinned.
"It told us the way!" Lock gasped.
Shock hated when her cohorts acted dumb. "IT DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING!" she shrieked, chasing after her departing cohorts.
"It's just past this Wandering Trail, Shock!" Barrel told the little witch as he and Lock led her deep into the Hinterlands.
"The magical trail of hope and wonder!" Lock agreed. At that moment, Shock began wondering if her cohorts were on a sugar-high...
"Is anyone else, like, stepping on dead branches?" she wondered aloud. "Seriously, boys, we shouldn't be out here. What if Jack-"
Barrel interrupted Shock. "Shock... Shock... Shooooooock... Sho-"
Shock couldn't take it anymore. "I'm right here! What do you want, Barrel?" she hissed, eyes glittering with fury as she clenched her fists.
Barrel giggled. "We're in the Hinterlands, Shock!"
After a few moments, the trio reached a clearing with seven trees in a circle, each with a holiday symbol plastered on the front. "We're here!" Lock announced with a smile.
Shock blinked as she stared at the door with the symbol of a firecracker on the front. "Well, what do ya know? There actually IS an Independence Day Town!" she said finally.
"Independence Day Town, Independence Day Town!" Barrel chanted, jumping up and down excitedly. "You fill me with burning exploding goodness!"
"Go through the Independence day door, Shock!" Lock ordered the witch.
"Yeah Shock! Go through the door! There are magical wonders to behold when you enter!" Barrel agreed, nodding.
Shock hated being ordered around. And anyways, she was suspicious. "Uh... yeah... Thanks, but no thanks. I'm just gonna stay out here..." she said slowly, examining the door with a frown on her face.
"But you HAFTA enter the Independence Day Town Independence door, Shock!" Lock whined.
A small skeleton-bird swooped out of the sky and landed by the trio. It burst into song. "Oh, when you're down and looking for some cheering up, then just head right on into Independence Day Town. When you get inside, you'll find yourself a cheery land such a happy and joy-filled and perky, merry land! They've got fireworks and many colors and other things! Oh, so many things that will brighten up your day! It's impossible to wear a frown in Independence Town, it's the place of parties, the Independence door! They've got weird old guys and young humans with little hats, lots of rats, but no bats, it's a fun land of boredom! Ride the Independence train to town and see the marching band! Loud church bells, it's a treat as they march across the land, fiery ribbons stream across the sky into the ground. Turn around, it astounds, it's a dancing guy... no, three! In the Independence Town imagination runs so free- So now Shock, please will you go through the door?" With that, the skeleton bird exploded, earning cheers from Lock and Barrel.
Shock rolled her eyes. "All right, fine! I'll go through the stupid door!" She'd never admit it, but she enjoyed watching the skeletal bird explode, and figured things would be just as fun in Independence Day Town. "But this had better be good!" she warned, giving her male cohorts a glare. She pulled the door open, peering at the blackness inside, then shrugged and jumped through.
Lock and Barrel giggled crazily. "Goodbye Shock!" Barrel smirked, waving.
"Yeah, goodbye Shock!" Lock shouted.
"Huh? Goodbye? What?" Shock wondered as she landed in the town. She looked up at the night sky. "Hey... What's goin' on here?" she asked, confused. "Hello?" She looked around. She had terrible night vision... but she could see like a vulture in the daylight. "Who is that?" She gasped as a bag was pulled over her head. She smelled an odd scent, then passed out.
Shock woke up a few hours later. She sat up, blinking to clear her vision. She was once again in the circle of holiday trees. "Gahh... What happened?" she groaned. She frowned, then felt her head. "GAHH! Those idiots stole my hat!" she yelled.
