I've resisted this long, but hey. Sweeney can't work without his partner-in-crime now, can he? What else would he do with his bodies? So...
----
Name: Miss Lovett. Her first name is "Nellie", which I'm sure is short for Eleanor or something. She shall just be referred to as Lovett.
Age: 30-40ish.
Gender: Female
Roleplay: Sweeney Todd/Stephen Sondheim's stuff/musicals/open
Description: Medium height, weird red hair. Grey eyeshadow, red lipstick, Victorian-style grey dress, pale skin. Here's a pic:
Lovett's the chick in the pic.
Personality: An insane murdress obsessed with, well, murder. She's a liar, too, proven when she insists that her secret formula isn't special, you just put the meat through the grinder three times. She told this to a young man who idolized her. And she lies to Sweeney, so... yeah. Lying, insane, murder-obsessed woman.
History: Lovett has known Benjamin Barker (aka Sweeney) for a long time. She lets him use the space above her shop for his barber shop. When the Judge exiled Sweeney, she found his razors lying in his shop and carefully packed them away to remember him by. Fast-forward about ten years, during which her meat pies are horrible, she gets little to no business, Sweeney's wife takes poison and goes insane, and the Judge decides he wants to raise Sweeney's daughter and marry her. Sweeney comes back then, back to Fleet Street. He stops in Lovett's shop, where she serves him a meat pie and some booze, telling him that he doesn't have to eat it if he doesn't like it. Of course, he takes a bite and practically gags. She's noticed the lack of cats around the neighborhood, and the crowd of customers at her rival's shop down the street, and knows that's where the cats have gone. Sweeney asks where Lucy (his wife! ) is, and she lies. She says she died after the husband was forced out of London, and showed Sweeney the razors, who recognizes them. Lovett finally realizes who her visitor is and urges Sweeney to open shop again.
Todd has great business, and challenges another barber to a contest to see who can get a smoother shave the quickest. He wins, of course, and the other barber comes to his shop to blackmail him because he recognized that he was Ben Barker. Now, that couldn't happen, so Sweeney slit the man's throat and hid him in a chest as Lovett and the barber's henchm- I mean, assistant, come upstairs. Lovett convinces Toby the assistant that his old master has left and tells him that he can stay with them. So Toby agrees and goes downstairs for a meat pie while Lovett asks what they're going to do with the body. And then their evil scheme begins.
They get lots of business now. Sweeney shaves men's faces and then kills them, sending them down a chute below a special barber chair that the bottom drops out of. Lovett drags the bodies out of the back of the shop and into the oven, and then cuts them up and cooks them into pies.
Toby claims that "Mr. Todd" is a bad, evil man, while Lovett shushes him and claims that Todd won't hurt Toby. ANyways, skip forward about half an hour of the musical, this beggan woman comes, Sweeney kills, Johanna (his daughter) comes disguised as a dude to hide from the Judge, Sweeney almost kills, the Judge comes, Sweeney kills, Lovett recognizes the dead beggar as Lucy, Sweeney comes down and realizes this, Lovett is pushed into the oven and burns to death. And that's the end of her.
Likes: cooking, cutting up people, Sweeney (as in LIKE likes)
Dislikes: Lucy Barker, the pie-maker down the street, lack of business
Faults: She's a heartless, lying woman. And she couldc are less about killing people. She's greedy, too.
Strengths: cooking, being a seductive demoness, singing
Theme song: The Worst Meat Pies in London. It's an amusing song.
Friends/ Enemies:
Friends: Sweeney Todd, Tobias Ragg (who idolizes her and calls her "Mom")
Enemies: the pie-maker down the street
Anything else: Lovett has a thing for Sweeney. She LIKE likes him. Yeah. That's why she claims Lucy died. So she can have Todd all to herself. Evil woman.
